The OECD and the European Union have launched a new international survey of research and development (R&D) personnel to better understand how R&D work is evolving and inform decisions that affect the careers and working conditions of researchers and innovators worldwide. The survey invites R&D professionals around the world to share their experiences, helping to build the evidence needed for policies that support science, technology, and innovation. It takes around 10 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until 25 September 2026.
The survey is part of the Research and Innovation Careers Observatory (ReICO), a joint OECD-EU initiative, established in 2024 to monitor global trends in research and innovation (R&I) talent, career paths and mobility across OECD and EU countries and beyond. It brings together a range of international statistics, analytical tools focused on R&I careers, in one place.
