A call for contributions for the EUA Council for Doctoral Education’s 2025 Annual Meeting is now open.
The 2025 Annual Meeting ‘20 years of progress - Celebrating the achievements and shaping the future of doctoral education in Europe’ will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 4-6 June, hosted by the University of Lausanne.
This year’s Annual Meeting will mark the 20th anniversary of the Salzburg Principles that emerged from the Bologna Process, offering an opportunity to reflect on two decades of developments and achievements in doctoral education. It will also provide a space to look ahead to new horizons in a rapidly changing society.
During this conference, the EUA-CDE community and other stakeholders will come together to engage in discussions on the impact of the Salzburg Principles in doctoral education. During three days, attendees will have the opportunity to explore how these principles have shaped policies and practices over the past twenty years, identifying areas where progress remains to be made. Additionally, the Meeting will serve as a platform to consider how to fully harness the potential of these ten foundational principles, addressing emerging needs and opportunities in the field.
Therefore, EUA-CDE is pleased to invite representatives of EUA-CDE member-institutions to submit proposals related to this year’s theme. The deadline to submit proposals is 7 April 2025.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal, you can choose between two types of contributions: parallel sessions or ‘My university’s achievements in doctoral education since Salzburg in 3 minutes’ format.
For full details on the type of contributions sought and the submission process, please carefully read the call for contributions and consult the event webpage.
