Registrations and call for contributions now open for 11th EUA-CDE Thematic Workshop

Registrations and a call for contributions are now open for the 11th EUA-CDE Thematic Workshop, “The Impact and Outcomes of Doctoral Education Reform in Europe. The event will be hosted by the University of Malta on 18 and 19 January 2018 in Valletta.

Thematic Workshops offer our members a platform to collaborate and exchange policies and good practices related to current trends and future challenges for doctoral education. This year’s Workshop brings together academic leaders, heads of doctoral schools and doctoral education professionals to reflect on key practices and institutional structures that have been introduced over the last decade and discuss their impact on doctoral education. In particular:

  • Institutional structures (e.g. doctoral schools)
  • Doctoral supervision
  • Transferable skills training and career development
  • Intersectoral collaboration
